Say hello to the newest addition to our household, Marshmallow, the Female Flame Point Siamese.
About 5 weeks ago Skyler announced to me that a girl she went to high school with had a litter of kittens and was looking for homes. Of course we volunteered. All we knew was that we wanted a female since we already have two. Earlier that month we had missed out on a gray and white kitty, so when this adorable little white ball of fluff came up we pounced on the opportunity.
We picked her up last week weighing less than a pound, she was so tiny she fit in the palm of our hand. The second we picked her up she was obsessed with us, squeaking and trying to play on the ride home.
After getting her home, Skyler took her to the vet a few days later to get her first check up. Unbeknownst to us we thought we just had a cute white fluffy kitty with beautiful blue eyes and a little orange on her ears and tail. The vet told her what we have is a rare little find. A flame point Siamese cat, (say what?) and she explained the solid white body was albino and on the her cold spots where there is less blood flow her fur will turn a orangish red color. (Her ears, tail and just around her nose and eyes)
Marshmallow is the perfect new addition to our lives. Only we would get a white kitty that would eventually turn into a ginger cat.
